Christmas Across Care Homes Tour 2018

At Christmas, Voices Across Time embarked on their ‘Care Home Tour’ to coincide with the release of their new 4-part radio show. This tour was part of their community outreach project which was established in 2017 to bring the work, skills and expertise of VaT to different environments in the local community. The radio show has been adapted from their 2017 Christmas show, Christmas Across Time, and was recorded in June 2018 with BBC’s Ninth Wave Audio production company.

The 4-part series follows the evolution of Christmas and it will take the listener on a journey from the banning of Christmas at the time of the Puritans, to Scrooge in a Victorian Christmas time, arriving at the Christmas day truce in the Great War and finishing with a 1950’s Christmas and the battle for the Christmas no. 1. VaT brought this show to life in a bespoke, immersive experiences for the residents, their families and carestaff of each home.
